Analisis Faktor Penyebab Kesulitan Belajar Matematika Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 02 Kampung Baru
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the learning difficulties in mathematics, specifically in multiplication and division operations, among 4th-grade students at SDN 02 Kampung Baru. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out through diagnostic test, observations, and interviews. The result showed a significant gap in students’ master of basic concepts. Out of the total students, only 25% were able to memorize multiplication fluently, while the remaining 75% had not mastered it. This condicition is the main factor hindering students from solving division problems. The analysis indicates that the dominant cause is internal factors, namely low motivation and students’ unwillingnwes(“laziness”) to memorize basic facts, as well as a lack of discipline in studying at home
