Regional potential can create investment opportunities and help the economic growth of the surrounding community. Limited information, difficulty understanding data, unclear data descriptions, and ineffective media make it difficult for potential investors to invest. The information overview should be easy to access and provide a clear picture. Web Geographic Information System (WebGIS) is a web-based platform using Geographical Information System (GIS) technology. WebGIS can display information about investment potential and opportunities in an area through distribution maps. This research uses a prototype method where each stage refers to user needs. Based on the results of testing and implementation of the WebGIS-based information system design, potential information needs can be visualized through location positions and area sizes in the form of polygons on the map. The accessibility of data visualization via the internet helps potential investors find out information about potential areas in advance without having to come to the location first.

Potensi daerah dapat menciptakan peluang investasi dan membantu pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat di sekitarnya.

Keterbatasan informasi, sulitnya memahami data, gambaran data yang kurang jelas, dan media yang tidak efektif membuat calon investor sulit untuk berinvestasi. Gambaran informasi harus mudah diakses dan memberikan gambaran yang jelas. Web Geographic Information System (WebGIS) merupakan sebuah platform berbasis web dengan menggunakan teknologi Geographical Information System (GIS). WebGIS dapat menampilkan informasi mengenai potensi dan peluang investasi pada suatu wilayah melalui peta sebarannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode prototype dimana setiap tahapannya mengacu pada kebutuhan pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian dan implementasi rancang bangun sistem informasi berbasis WebGIS ini, kebutuhan informasi potensi dapat divisualisasikan melalui posisi lokasi dan besaran wilayah dalam bentuk polygon dalam peta. Aksesibiltas visualisasi data melalui internet membantu calon investor dapat mengetahui lebih awal mengenai informasi potensi wilayah tanpa harus datang ke lokasi terlebih dahulu
