Abstract

This research purpose was to develop a software-based application that can detect learning styles based on the VARK questionnaire (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, Kinesthetic) questionnaire. This application is designed to help users, such as students or teachers, to identify their learning style preferences so that the learning process can be optimized. Through a series of questions that correspond to the VARK model, the app would analyze the user's responses to provide recommendations on dominant learning styles as well as a combination of learning styles. In addition, the app also provided recommendations for teaching materials that are in with the detected learning style, be it in the form of videos, podcasts, text materials, practical activities or a combination of learning styles. The test results showed that the app could provide relevant recommendations and be used as a tool in the teaching- learning process. Thus, this application is expected to increase learning effectiveness according to individual needs
