Abstract

This research addresses the declining awareness among young people of local history and culture, particularly the struggle of Radin Inten II. It aims to design and develop an educational Android-based game using the Tower Defense concept as an interactive learning medium. The development follows the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), consisting of six stages: initiation, pre-production, production, alpha testing, beta testing, and release. Built with Unity, Visual Studio 2019, CorelDRAW X7, and Krita, the game presents Radin Inten II’s history through strategic defense gameplay. Educational elements such as visual novels, information cards, history books, and animated videos enrich the experience. Test results show significant improvement in students’ understanding, as reflected in the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores at SD Negeri 30 Gedong Tataan. This game is expected to become an engaging and interactive alternative for younger generations to explore the legacy of Indonesia’s national heroes
