Abstract

 As the population in Indonesia increases, the demand for air also increases. Water functions to fulfill daily needs such as bathing, washing, cooking and so on. The release of clean water for community services in the Tirtasari residential area is an activity that needs to be monitored. However, monitoring still uses manual methods where an officer has to go back and forth to monitor everything, and this method can be said to be inefficient. This system of monitoring with manual recording is known to often cause many problems and errors in calculating air costs and usage, because this system with manual recording is very less effective and efficient and requires a lot of staff and can take up a lot of time. Familiarization with a device system that is still analog often occurs when conditions are carried out by the party responsible for the amount of air volume used. Based on the background problems, the researcher wants to design a tool that is able to monitor air use digitally. Digital is assumed to be checking water discharge and costs every month. So that later this tool will make it easier for people to know the amount of water used every day and the costs they have to pay every month. This tool is designed to use a water flow sensor to measure the air flow flowing into the pipe and the measurement data will be processed with an Arduino microcontroller so that the data processing results will be displayed on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).
