PERANCANGAN BUKU ILUSTRASI AYO MENJAGA KESEHATAN GIGI SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI BAGI SISWA SDIT BAITUL INSAN

Abstract

Most Indonesians do not yet understand how to brush their teeth properly, indicating a lack of awareness in the community about proper tooth brushing techniques. The negative impact of incorrect tooth brushing is the emergence of dental health issues, particularly dental caries. Dental caries is one of the most common forms of tooth decay experienced by elementary school children, which can interfere with their growth and development. The designer collected data using qualitative methods to complement the report's information, including observation, interviews, and literature studies. The "Let's Maintain Dental Health" illustrated book uses printed books as the main medium, with color Art Paper sized 21 x 20 cm, containing 10-15 pages for the story content, excluding the cover and other contents within the book. Maintaining dental health is a very important aspect, especially for elementary school children. Although Indonesia is known as a country whose citizens maintain good hygiene, in reality, only a small portion of the population brushes their teeth correctly.
